-Label-
1. Who are Mynydd Du Records?
Mynydd Du Records was founded by Aled Pashley in January 2009 primarily to release material from his own 2 bands, Annwn and Ruthin. Soon after, he made the decision to sign other bands to the label.
2. Why do you make your releases available to download for free?
The music industry is changing, thanks largely to the expansion of the internet. In this day an age, albums are often available to download illegally months before they are released in retail outlets. To keep up with this ever changing medium, the decision to make all Mynydd Du Records releases available to download legally and free of charge was made. Anyone can enjoy any of our releases at no cost, with the option to purchase a physical copy of the release should you wish to do so. In this way, we hope to make the physical copies somewhat more of a special item for the die-hard fan or dedicated music lover. We run this label out of sheer love and passion for music, not to make any profit from it.
3. Where can I buy your releases from?
Currently our releases are only available to buy from our own webshop.
4. Where can I download your releases from?
Please visit our MySpace page to find the torrent links for all our releases. Alternatively, you can use your favourite torrent site (see our links page) to search for the artists downloads yourself. Most major and special music torrent sites carry our downloads.
-Bands-
1. Will you sign my band?
We do not normally endeavour to actively look for other bands to sign to the label, but always welcome contact from a band. Please do not feel that your music is not good in any way, shape or form should we not offer you a contract, you are probably simply not the sort of band we are looking for! We specialise in bands that we feel are bringing something new to the genre of heavy metal.
2. Can I send you my band's demo/EP/album?
Feel free to use the details on the contact page to send us your band's material. We generally answer all band mail but please be aware that we rarely sign new bands due to the small size of the label. We prefer bands to submit any material in hard copy via our postal address. Please be sure to include a short biography of the band, a list of members and a contact address/e-mail/telephone number so we can get back to you.

1. Can you send me more information about a band on your label?
